About us

Yoga for real homes and real lives

Home Yoga Studio makes it easier to practise yoga where you already are. We teach live online classes, private sessions and personalised programmes for people who want a calm, welcoming way to move - without a commute or a crowded studio.

I started Home Yoga Studio in Dallgow-Döberitz, just outside Berlin, because so many students told me the hardest part of yoga was getting to class. Teaching online means you can practise in your own space, at times that fit around work and family, while I still guide you in real time.

What we believe

The principles behind every class

  • Yoga belongs at home too

A living room, bedroom or balcony is a perfectly good place to practise. We teach with real homes in mind: limited space, household props and the occasional interruption.

  • Clarity over complexity

We explain what to do and why, in plain English. You should never have to guess what a pose name means or feel lost in a class.

  • Every body is welcome

Options are offered for every pose, and rest is always allowed. Yoga adapts to you, not the other way round.

  • Honesty about yoga

Yoga is a valuable practice, but it is not a cure. We do not make medical claims, and we encourage you to seek professional advice when you need it.

  • Privacy and respect

Cameras are optional in group classes, live classes are never recorded, and we only ask for the information we genuinely need.

  • Consistency over intensity

Short, regular practice tends to be more sustainable than occasional intense sessions. Our timetable is built to support a routine.

Draft profile - details to be confirmed

I came to yoga while working long days at a desk. I started with short sessions on my living-room floor, simply to move more and switch off in the evenings, and I kept going because those few minutes made my days calmer and easier to manage. Teaching grew out of that: I wanted to share a practical, unhurried kind of yoga that fits into ordinary homes and busy weeks.

I most enjoy teaching beginners and anyone who thinks they are "not flexible enough" for yoga - expect clear instructions, an option for every pose and no pressure to push.

Training

  • 200-hour yoga teacher training (Hatha and Vinyasa), completed in 2019
  • Chair yoga teacher training, completed in 2021

Teaching experience

Teaching yoga since 2019 - in community and studio classes around Berlin, and online since 2020.

Teaching philosophy

"Yoga should fit your life, not the other way round. I would much rather you leave class feeling calm and capable than worn out."

How we teach online

All classes and sessions are live and run on Zoom. Group classes have a limited number of places so the teacher can keep an eye on everyone who chooses to have their camera on.

When you book, your place is reserved immediately and we confirm by email. Joining details arrive 24 hours before class. If you would like help choosing a class, just ask.

What we don't do

  • We don't diagnose, treat or make claims about medical conditions.
  • We don't offer hands-on adjustments - everything is taught verbally and by demonstration.
  • We don't record live group classes.
  • We don't sell or share your personal information for marketing.
  • We don't publish testimonials unless they are genuine and shared with permission.
